New Introduction Sessions

We are pleased to announce three new introductory events.  These are an extended taster session for all, and two short taster events for juniors.  You will hear more about this sport and the activities of our club, and during the session you will also sit in a boat, and spend quite some time on water, under the instructions and help from our qualified, friendly coaches. Following a Taster Day experience, you will feel comfortable to decide whether you wish to continue exploring kayaking.

Extended Taster Session for Adults and Juniors

August 20, Saturday, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the club AND September 10, Saturday, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the club.(Ealing Canoe Club, Horsenden Hill Farm, Horsenden Lane North, Perivale UB6 7PQ).  You would ideally come to both days. The two sessions cost £ 20 for adults and £ 13 for juniors and full time students that includes all equipment. We believe that in this 2×2 hours introductory practice you will get a good overview and feel for the sport and, hopefully, you will choose to continue paddling with Ealing Canoe Club in one of our so called transition sessions, designed for beginners.

IF YOU WISH TO JOIN OUR EXTENDED TASTER DAYS ON AUGUST 20 AND SEPTEMBER 10, PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR INTEREST AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE, as the class is for maximum 8 participants only.

15th of May

We were also at the Reading K4 face.  Two Ealing teams competed.  Well done to all of those taking part.

Success in Nottingham

Team Ealing did well again at the Masters National and Open Regatta on the 7th and 8th of May in Nottingham.

Congratulations to Leo with a victory in the Mini-Sprint B K1 and Philip, who took 3rd place in the Mini-Sprint B K2. Mathew did well too – a rookie of the competition. Third place in the race for Girls C K1 200m and K2 1000m was won by Yun. Well done! Andreas had a very heavy battle in group Boys B because it was his first competition at that level. Hard work pays off. Well done Andreas!

Finally, a special mention for Trevor, who managed to set several national records (K4 500m & 1000m, K2 200m & 500m) in Junior U18 group and was promoted to Men’s A.

Fantastic!

Litter Picking on the Grand Union Canal

Ealing canoe club recently joined forces with local community group Greenford Delta to pick litter from the canal.  We got the canoes out and spent a very pleasant morning slowly meandering down the canal picking up rubbish in the water and on the banks.  It was great to work with the Greenford Delta group and as kayakers we really appreciate having as little debris as possible in the water where we train.  We look forward to future collaborations with the Greenford Delta group in the future.  For more information please click on the following:
